“They Belong There”
It’s not my world.
I don’t speak their language.
But I’ve watched them.
those silent types,
saltwater a part of them
eyes always scanning the horizon
like it’s got something to say…
They don’t boast.
they don’t need a crowd.
They wait…
For hours sometimes,
for that one moment
only they can spot, feel and trust..
And when it comes,
they’re gone.
No hesitation, no second guessing.
Just muscle, memory, and magic…
I’ve seen wipeouts
and boards snap like twigs.
I’ve seen blood ,
I’ve seen them walk out limping
only to paddle back in…
It’s not a sport to them.
It’s something else.
A ritual.
A conversation with something bigger,
older, unforgiving and beautiful…
I don’t surf.
But I built this
for the ones who do…
Because they belong there…
