“Not From Nowhere”
We turn on the tap and expect water, but it does not just appear… Every drop comes from somewhere, from rivers, dams, and underground sources that sustain life around us….
The chain in this sculpture represents that flow, linked, strong, but not endless. The sprocket at the base is a ripple, a reminder that water wasted here is felt elsewhere, in ways we often do not see….
Water is life. It feeds the land, the animals, and us. Respect it, treasure it, and remember it is not from nowhere. 🌊 ❤️
Made From:
The tap is solid brass, altered to suit this piece, and estimated to be around 60 years old, thanks to my wonderful father in law Ollie who donated it from his farm type property.
The chain was kept from a broken tow chain, with each link carefully welded together to stand upright.
The sprocket base is built from parts of a damaged transmission.
